Ingredients:
* 1 tbsp oil
* 3 pieces bei qi, cut into small pieces
* 5 pieces dong guai
* 6 red dates, seeded
* 1 liter water
* 1 chicken, small
Seasoning:
* 1 tsp salt
* 2 tbsp Shao Xing wine
Directions:
1. Heat up oil and sauté bei qi, dong guai and red dates until fragrant. Add water and cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add in chicken, seasoning and bring to boil. Cover, lower the heat and simmer for 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Dish up, leave to cool and cut into serving pieces.
3. Pour sauce over the chicken and serve.
